Covid-19: If you have a sewing machine, you can help!
While most of us are locked in our homes as an aftereffect of the recent Covid-19 outbreak, many healthcare workers but also people at higher risk are unable to provide themselves with the fundamental protection of a face mask.
Inspired by the initiative of Joost De Cock and his Free Sewing Open Source Project for creating cotton facemasks, we were also busy during the last couple of days following their example in order to provide handmade personal protective equipment (PPE).
If you think that a handmade mask cannot be a safe equipment, Forbes, in a recent call for action, states clearly that as a last resort, a homemade mask is acceptable. Please consult also American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statement: Strategies for Optimizing the Supply of Facemasks.
But if you follow our brand you would definitely know that optimism and humor is on our DNA, and for this reason we decided to create some masks to give a smile to the people wearing them but also to the ones they look at!
Just be sure to iron steam them after every time you use them! Stay calm, stay home, stay safe!
P.S.: Feel free to contact us if you have any question regarding the making of them!
